Heartsaver Adult CPR/First Aid- This course is designed for Teachers, Coaches, Babysitters, Construction workers, and the general public. This classroom course includes essential information and training in the first-aid skills recommended by OSHA as well as CPR and AED certification training - all in a format that can be delivered in a single day. The course is modular to meet the needs of a specific workplace or group of employees. The core module comprises general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies.

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Online Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.  The course completion card for the online course is identical to the card for the classroom course.

Summary
The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult child and infant patients. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of the course learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime anywhere access to certificate and training history.In support of improving patient care American Red Cross is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.The American Red Cross is an accredited provider of continuing education by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education.

 

There are TWO parts to the American Red Cross Basic Life Support Blended Online course:

Part 1 (online blended link provided after registration via email) at your home or office: Online simulation and learning experience (0.5 to 2.5 hours)
Part 2  (Skills Session) at one of our regularly scheduled in-person skills sessions: Manikin practice and skills testing (45 - 60 minutes max).

You will receive your Basic Life Support (BLS) certification card via email using the ARC eCard system within 48 hours of your course
Your BLS card will be identical to the classroom-based BLS card

HSI First Aid CPR AED: This course covers ADULT First Aid topics and CPR. The child and infant CPR modules are optional.

HYBRID COURSE: This hybrid course allows you to complete approximately 90% of the class online at your convenience. You then come in to our facility for approximately an hour and a half to complete the online skills session.

This lesson will familiarize you with the consequences of making unsafe decisions when driving as well as the safe driving practices and vehicle technologies that will protect you from potential driving incidents and accidents. This lesson is not intended to cover driving requirements associated with commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) or the use of a commercial driver's license (CDL). This lesson does not address safety concerns associated with the use of off-road (ATV) vehicles, motorcycles, towing a trailer, or load securement while hauling equipment such as in the bed of a pickup truck..
